TUCKER, GA. — The US Poultry & Egg Association’s (USPOULTRY) upcoming 2024 Environmental Management Seminar seeks to address the challenges facing management in the poultry and egg industry regarding water quality, wastewater management, air emissions, sustainability and regulatory compliance. Held Sept. 19-20 at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Destin, Fla., the seminar will help environmental managers stay up to date on the latest trends.

The program is designed by industry experts to cover a variety of topics, such as regulatory changes, basics of dissolved air flotation operation, chemical treatment and residuals management, new effluent limitation guidelines, a sustainability framework update from the US Roundtable for Sustainable Poultry & Eggs, insights from a stormwater management panel, and more.

“Safeguarding the environment is a core priority for the poultry and egg industry,” said Dwayne Holifiel, planning committee chair from Wayne-Sanderson Farms. “This seminar provides a critical opportunity to learn how your company can enhance environmental quality while maintaining robust and sustainable operations.”

As part of the seminar, USPOULTRY will announce the 2024 Clean Water Award winners, complemented by a virtual tour of their facilities.

More information and registration for the seminar is available on the USPOULTRY website.
