NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF. — Chipotle is testing a new menu product for a limited time. The Chipotle Honey Chicken will be available at 80 restaurants in Nashville and Sacramento.

Before the company began test marketing the menu item, it conducted consumer taste tests. The blend of spicy and sweet flavors exceeded consumer expectations and was the highest testing product Chipotle has ever tested, according to the company.

“Consumers have clearly shown their enthusiasm for sweet heat flavor combinations,” said Chris Brandt, chief brand officer for Chipotle. “We have had tremendous success with ‘swicy’ innovations and believe Chipotle Honey Chicken will capture fans with a whole new level of excitement.”

The Chipotle Honey Chicken is cooked with adobo peppers, Mexican spices and honey, according to the company.
