Jurors found Mr. Rubashkin not guilty on June 7 on 67 counts of child labor violations involving 26 teenagers from Guatemala and Mexico who worked at the former Agriprocessors plant in Postville. The verdict followed a nearly month-long trial in which former workers testified they were hired while in their teens after providing false documents showing they were older.
Mr. Rubashkin was charged after a May 2008 immigration raid in which 389 workers were arrested at the plant. On June 22 he is to be sentenced in federal court for separate fraud convictions in connection with bank loans the company received.
