COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Grote Company family of brands, which includes PFI, Vanmark and ProFab, announced that it recently acquired SPI Automation, a provider of automation and robotics solutions with locations in Sandy and Salt Lake City, Utah.

SPI’s experience in food production automation builds on Grote’s brands’ offerings and expands robotic applications and controls capacity for all division like PFI’s conveyance systems, Vanmark’s potato processing lines, Grote Company’s robotic food assembly automation and ProFab’s meat and poultry equipment.

Grote confirmed that SPI would remain a standalone brand and support its existing customers even after the acquisition.
