CHICAGO — Poultry processor Crescent Foods announced some rebranded chicken products and updates to its packaging.
The company stated that the change will provide accessibility to its products and make it easier through greater distribution at national grocers and club stores. Crescent highlighted Costco, Walmart, H-E-B and Kroger nationwide as places customers can see updates.
Many of its popular Crescent Foods products will now be featured in fresh tray packages, fresh retail roll-stock pouches, fresh club store saddle packages, individually quick-frozen (IQF) bags and breaded chicken bags.
Some items in new packaging include chicken breasts, chicken wings, chicken tenders, boneless skinless chicken thighs, breaded chicken filets and chicken nuggets, along with other chicken favorites.
The packaging also will feature individual product names that will be prominently displayed with big boldface type and enhanced photography to help consumers quickly identify products. Protein per serving is shown to meet nutritional and dietary needs.
Some grocery products will have a QR code on packages that will pull up 30-minute quick and easy recipes when scanned to help people find what should complement the chicken while shopping in-store.
Crescent added that the saddle packages made available at club stores can easily and neatly be stored in the refrigerator or freezer for convenience.
The resealable bags for IQF products will feature on-package recipes for easy meal ideas.
The fresh tray packages feature clear, recycle-ready plastic, providing a nearly 360-degree view of quality and trimmed chicken.
Crescent Foods noted that its poultry products continue to feature a 100% vegetarian diet without antibiotics, humanely treated and no animal byproducts label claims. Its lamb and beef products are sourced from pasture-raised animals, with no added hormones.
All Crescent Foods' meat and poultry products follow strict certified Halal hand-cut practices and standards.
