BOULDER, COLO. — ReGen Brands recently launched new platforms to work with more regenerative agriculture-minded companies and products.
The first platform it highlighted was the ReGen Brands Institute, which provides resources and reports on regenerative consumer-priced goods (CPG).
“A regenerative food system needs regenerative brands — brands building holistic solutions with nutrition, climate, biodiversity, and social equity in mind,” said Anthony Corsaro, co-founder of ReGen Brands. “We’ve spent the last three years deeply understanding the significant unmet needs of this community, and we’re launching this new ecosystem to help solve them. We exist to inform, connect and fund the regenerative revolution of CPG.”
Next, the group started the ReGen Brands Coalition, a new trade association advancing the regenerative CPG space by identifying shared challenges and collaborative solutions.
A few regenerative agriculture companies focused on meat production were also on board with the new coalition, including Hickory Nut Gap, based in Asheville, NC, which recently joined to expand the reach of its products.
“Hickory Nut Gap is excited to join the ReGen Coalition to collaborate with brands that share our mission to change food and agriculture and create a better future for farmers, the land, and customers who care,” said Jamie Ager, chief executive officer of Hickory Nut Gap.
On the poultry side, Pasturebird, based in Temecula, Calif., explained why its business fits into the trade association and its ongoing mission.
“Pasturebird is the largest truly pasture raised poultry operation in the US, moving chickens to fresh pasture every single day using solar power,” said Meredith Cochran, director of marketing and development of Pasturebird.
“To better communicate the importance of regenerative agriculture and pasture-raised animals to consumers, we were seeking a partner who would bring like-minded businesses together to collaborate. ReGen Brands Coalition has created a platform for us to come together and move the industry forward with a focus on restoring our planet. A true win-win for both producers and consumers.”
The last part of the new initiative of this regenerative agriculture group will be ReGen Brands Capital, which will be a brand capitalization advisor that helps align regenerative CPG growth strategies and needs with the most mutual funding sources.
“Capital aims to help close the massive funding gap for regenerative brands by championing new, innovative financial products and fund models better aligned with holistic, regenerative business outcomes,” ReGen Brands added.
