WASHINGTON — The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the rates for inspection and laboratory services for meat and poultry establishments as well as importers and exporters in 2025.
FSIS will begin applying the updated rates on Jan. 12.
The following lists the 2025 rates per hour, per employee, by type of service:
- Basetime: $73.04
- Overtime: $89.68
- Holiday: $106.32
- Laboratory: $105.68
- Export Application: $4.83
The agency is also changing the fee FSIS assesses to exporters that choose to apply for export certifications electronically through the export component of the agency’s Public Health Information System.
