CLAREMONT, NH. — North Country Smokehouse recently announced that it would expand its new Reduced Sodium, Organic Applewood Smoked Bacon, into Whole Foods Market locations nationwide.

The new, low-sodium recipe stays true to the company’s smokehouse signature approach with pork bellies marinated in real maple syrup and smoked in small batches for hours.

“Reduced sodium doesn’t have to mean reduced flavor, we proved it,” said Chris Mattera, chef and North Country Smokehouse’s culinary innovator. “Our legacy is built on crafting bacon that delivers exceptional flavor, no matter the style.”

North Country products are Certified Humane, raised without cages or crates, free from antibiotics and added growth hormones, and meet California’s Proposition 12 standards.
