MCLEAN, Va. – The Food Processing Machinery Association’s Meat Industry Suppliers Alliance has announced it will sponsor a seminar designed for suppliers interested in offering customers alternative financing opportunities. In response to a growing number of processors who request quotes for new equipment and then grapple with financing the costs during economically tough times, MISA is holding a one-day Financial Strategies Seminar in Chicago on Sept. 9. The program is open to members of FPSA and selected food companies in the Chicago area.

The seminar will focus on four topics: Planning and Forecasting for Growth; Financing and the Protection of Capital in Foreign Countries: Using Leasing and Financing as Your Selling Tool; and Enterprise Risk Management. The topics will be addressed by representatives from leading lending and financial firms, including: Patrick McNally and Steven Baer from Blackman Kallick; Lynn Durning, Wells Fargo; and Bob Seeds, International Financial Services Corp.

For more information on the seminar and to register for the event, contact Alex Silva in the membership department at FPSA at Asilva@fpsa.org or call (703) 663-1218 or go to: www.fpsa.org.
