Labeled "the pizza box of the 21st century" by Fox News, the GreenBox is a new re-design of the "wasteful and outdated" industry-standard pizza box, according to a news release from the company. Made from 100% recycled material, the top of the GreenBox breaks down into plates, while the bottom folds into a convenient storage container. The innovative design eliminates the need for disposable plates as well as plastic wrap and aluminum foil for leftovers and allows for easy disposal into a standard-sized recycling bin.
In coming months, ECOvention, LLC expects to roll out the GreenBox at other Whole Foods Market locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
ECOvention LLC is a design, licensing, manufacturing and subcontract management firm dedicated to improving what it calls outmoded, outdated and wasteful food packaging.
