This marks Solae's fourth major research and development facility to support global business growth. The other facilities are located in North America, Europe and South America.

The center houses a meat laboratory, food and beverage laboratory, a bakery and confectionery laboratory and a product analysis and sensory science laboratory. It also is equipped with facilities and meeting rooms to accommodate requests from customers for training and discussion.

"This new center expands Solae's capabilities in the region, providing a dedicated resource for customers to utilize when developing products with our ingredients. Additionally, we believe that having this facility located in Asia will cut Solae's turnaround time for customer project development work by at least 50%."
Solae works with many meat and food manufacturers throughout Asia on a variety of food segments including processed meats and fish products, among others. The company currently operates three manufacturing plants in China with a total of 11 worldwide.
