WASHINGTON – A newly redesigned website (http://www.amif.org), which is aimed at the scientific community, policymakers and media as a user-friendly source of meat and poultry science information, was unveiled by the American Meat Institute Foundation. Information about research funding opportunities and findings will also be prominently featured.
Included in this site is a new AMIF blog, which will serve as a forum for discussion about meat and poultry science, animal science and emerging food-safety and nutrition issues. An RSS news feed that will be frequently updated with the most recent scientific news, information plus research and education opportunities will also be included.
This information, plus links to the most recent blog posts, will also be available on AMIF’s new companion Facebook page (http://on.fb.me/vYRWMo).
“The AMI Foundation’s goal is to be both a leader and a resource in the world of science and research,” said James Hodges, AMIF president. “The new site’s improved navigation and ease of use will enhance our ability to fulfill our mission.”
