WASHINGTON – The US Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service recently purchased 6,138,000 lbs. of consumer pack whole chicken at a cost of $5,257,185.12 for school lunch and other domestic food nutrition assistance programs, according to the National Chicken Council.
