WASHINGTON – During the past 12 months, the American Meat Institute Foundation says the organization has made numerous accomplishments, which are now featured in AMIF’s 2011 Year in Review.
Such accomplishments included financing four new research projects; accumulating important findings from more than 12 research projects; introduced a redesigned web site; and conducted a host of industry food-safety educational programs. AMIF also continued its ongoing work to reaffirm the safety of nitrite in meat and poultry products.
The review also includes Foundation research project updates; a summary of its education programs, training and other activities completed in 2011; and a 2012 calendar of events.
