DALLAS – At a time when New Year’s resolution-makers tend to waffle, a growing number of foodservice chains, including Chili’s Grill & Bar, have introduced lighter options to their menus. A part of Brinker International Inc., Chili’s introduced what it calls the Lighter Choices menu, which includes 10 items containing no more than 750 calories, 25 grams fat and 8 grams of saturated fat.
The menu was developed using customer feedback about healthier dining and the technology-rich menus include Quick Response codes that link to online nutritional information about each item. The new menu features grilled chicken served with beans in a sandwich, as a wrap or on a salad, as well as sirloin steak and grilled salmon options.
"Guests at Chili's tell us they want options to meet their lifestyle and dining occasion needs at both lunch and dinner," said Edithann Ramey, senior director of marketing for Chili's Grill & Bar. "Our new Lighter Choice menu gives them options lower in fat, saturated fat and calories while still delivering on our Chili's signature bold flavors."
