Washington – The US Department of Agriculture, on Jan. 14, announced the recall of 3,104 lbs. of diced beef products by RSW Distributors LLC, based in Forest City, NC.
Officials say products produced on Dec. 9, 2011, may contain foreign material. The product was produced as part of the USDA’s National School Lunch Program and were shipped for further processing and distribution to schools in South Carolina, Tennessee and Washington. Established in 1946, the National School Lunch Program provides more than 31 million low-cost or free meals to needy students in the US public school system.
