LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – ConAgra Foods Inc., plans to close an Odom’s Tennessee Pride processing plant in late spring 2013, according to the Associated Press. More than 200 people work at the plant.
ConAgra bought Odom's in May. The transaction included Odom’s headquarters in Madison, Tenn., and facilities in Little Rock and Dickson, Tenn. Odom’s has annual sales of $190 million. ConAgra said the facilities in Tennessee would remain open.
Odom’s products were sold in the south, from Florida to Virginia, in the Midwest, and as far west as Arizona. The company makes frozen and refrigerated breakfast sandwiches and sausage, and is the second-largest producer of frozen breakfast sandwiches in the United States.
