OAK BROOK, ILL. — McDonald’s U.S. test of its new Snack Wrap Mac, a sandwich variation of the Big Mac and a snack wrap, has been rolled out at 1,400 McDonald’s outlets throughout Canada and will be sold there until May 18.

"The product is in test in about 400 U.S restaurants right now," Danya Proud, senior manager, U.S. media relations, told MEATPOULTRY.com.

"McDonald’s Snack Wrap Mac consists of one-half of a regular Big Mac patty, which is our 10-to-1 patty, and it’s simply cut in half," she added. The item contains the same ingredients as the sandwich but rather than being served on bread it is wrapped in a flour tortilla.

"So far, results have been extremely positive. We’re getting very good customer feedback," she said. "It’s really an opportunity for us to utilize existing ingredients on a product that we know so many people love and be able to utilize those ingredients to create a new, portable snack-size option."
