MASON, Ohio – Mason Processing LLC has purchased 21 acres in Mason, Ohio, designated for a new meat processing plant, according to local news reports.

Mason Processing, an affiliate of Empire Marketing Strategies in Blue Ash, Ohio, acquired the land for $820,000, according to news reports. A new plant could bring 200 new jobs to the community.

Empire is the corporate brand broker for all perishables for Kroger Co. including the retailer’s private label meat, deli, bakery and produce brands.
