KENT, Wash. — Oberto Brands, manufacturer of the Oh Boy, Oberto! brand of jerky products, plans to open a new processing facility in Nashville, Tenn., during the first half of 2013. The new facility will be the company’s second and support its business in the eastern US.
“After seeing tremendous growth over the past few years, we now need to significantly increase our production capabilities,” said Tom Ennis, chief executive officer of Oberto Brands. “We chose Nashville as the location for Oberto's new production facility because of its great business climate and incredible workforce; we look forward to partnering with this dynamic, growing city to help us diversify our supply chain and get closer to the fastest growing region of our business.”
The company said the plant is scheduled to open during the second quarter of 2013 and it will employ approximately 300 once it is fully operational.
