DELPHI, Ind. – Indiana Packers Corp. is set to open a free health clinic for workers and their families, according to the Associated Press. The clinic is a partnership between the company, Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health and Unity Healthcare.

The company’s goal is to get 60 percent of employees to elect to use the 3,600-sq.-ft. facility within the first year, according to AP. The facility features eight exam rooms, on-site laboratory services, medications, immunizations and medical records accessed through the Franciscan network. Three nurse practitioners will staff the clinic.

Indiana Packers processes 16,800 hogs daily, according to the company’s web site. The company produces fresh pork products and smoked meats such as ham, bacon and sausage for retail and foodservice markets.
