MIAMI – Island Burger Ltd., a Burger King franchisee, has opened the first Burger King restaurant on the island of Antigua in St. John’s Parish. As part of the franchise agreement, Island Burger will open an additional three Burger King restaurants.
The restaurant will cover 2,000 sq. ft. and seat 64 patrons, according to Burger King Corp. (BKC). The restaurant will also feature the company’s new design.
“We are very pleased to announce our first Burger King restaurant in Antigua with our franchisee, Island Burger Ltd.,” said Jose Tomas, president for Latin America/Caribbean Region (LAC), BKC. “This new market entry is part of our overall growth plan to increase our brand presence in the LAC region. We look forward to a long and successful future in the market.”
