NASHVILLE – Avure Technologies announced the company will expand its manufacturing capacity by building a new US facility by the end of 2012.

Avure said establishing a North American manufacturing operation is a key step in building the company's global infrastructure to support the fast-growing market for High Pressure Processing (HPP) equipment.

“We have sustainable growth in all of our product lines,” said Pat Adams, the company’s president and chief executive officer. “We announced in April 2012 that we would organize the company into two divisions, and this expansion allows us to add technical and production capacity in both our food division, for HPP systems, and our industrial division, for isostatic, metal forming, and specialty presses.

"This investment demonstrates our commitment to maintain market leadership and innovation for the benefit of our customers globally,” Adams said.

The new production facility will be built near Avure's headquarters in Franklin, Tenn., just outside of Nashville. When completed, it will produce a minimum of 50 HPP systems annually, with the ability to expand as market requirements increase, according to the company.

“The new facility will significantly expand our North American technical support capability while showcasing the investment we are making in this growing market,” said Matt Rutherford, Avure’s senior vice president of Global Sales. “Custom-designed manufacturing equipment and state-of-the art technologies will produce the highest product quality, at the lowest possible delivered cost per unit of throughput for the customer.”

HPP is experiencing dramatic growth because it addresses a number of concerns for processors, according to Glenn Hewson, Avure vice president of Global Marketing. The technology is enabling processors to create appealing new high-value products, in addition to its food safety role.

“The new plant’s geographic proximity to the company’s large North American customer base will increase our ability to incorporate the industry’s needs into our products,” Hewson said. “With Avure’s HPP technology growing rapidly in Europe, Asia, and South America, our expansion plan is globally focused and includes adding dedicated services and support around the world.”
