ANTIOCH, Calif.— The West Sacramento-based Raley’s Supermarket chain issued a recall on Sunday afternoon of all ground beef made at an East Bay store after an employee reported finding bits of a pen in the store’s meat grinder, according to The Associated Press. Raley’s operates 115 stores in California and 16 in Northern Nevada
A worker reportedly found pieces of a pen while sanitizing the grinder. However, a small amount of meat that had been processed at the store on Sunday was sold before the recall went into effect.
