WASHINGTON – Las Vegas-based West Best Foods, Inc. announced a recall of roughly 13,776 lbs. of lasagna products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, according to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The lasagna products contain soy, which was not declared on the label, FSIS said. The lasagna was produced between April 13 and May 21 and was distributed to hotels and one distributor in Las Vegas. FSIS said the problem was discovered during a routine food safety assessment. A change in an ingredient formulation used in the products may have led to the misbranding. FSIS and the West Best Foods have not received any reports of allergic reactions due to consumption of these products.

The products subject to recall are:
• 24-lb cases of "WEST BEST FOODS INC LASAGNA WITH MEAT SAUCE."
• 24-lb cases of "WEST BEST FOODS INC DELUXE BEEF LASAGNA."

The products bear the establishment number "EST. 6080" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
