SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Arex Lee has been appointed chief executive officer of Tyson Foods’ China operations, the company announced May 16. Lee will oversee Tyson DaLong, Tyson Shandong and Tyson Jiangsu.
Lee is a native of Taiwan, and served in the Taiwan Marine Corp, according to the company. He is an industrial engineer and has a master’s degree in business administration.
Lee worked for more than 25 years with a leading poultry company in China before joining Tyson. His industry experience includes poultry operations, and sales and marketing management. He has experience in feed mill management, contract farming, processing operations, and breeder, hatchery and broiler operations, Tyson said. He has managed strategy development activities in China and is recognized by customers and other poultry companies as a leader in China’s poultry industry.
Tyson has had a business presence in China since 2001.
