RENNES, France – French poultry group, Doux sold its Stanven pet food plant to a family owned German company, according to Reuters.
Doux received court approval to sell the plant to Saria, a branch of the family owned group Rethmann. The deal was worth €22 million (US$27.5 million), and should bring Doux a net income of €19 million (US$23.7 million), Reuters reported. Rethmann specializes in water management, energy and logistics.
Administrators for Doux are seeking a buyer to take over the entire business. Several companies have shown interest in a partial or full takeover of the company.
