TRENTON, NJ – A three-alarm fire caused heavy damage to a pork roll production facility owned by Case’s Pork Roll, according to news reports.
The fire at the Chambersburg facility started at approximately 7:30 a.m. June 25. Thirty-five people evacuated the building safely, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Case’s Pork Roll manufactures hickory-smoked pork, based on a recipe developed in 1870 by George Washington Case, a farmer and butcher.
