MINONG, Wis. -- Tuesday, June 12, has been proclaimed as Jack Link's Jerky Day by Wisconsin State Governor Scott Walker, Iowa State Governor Terry Branstad and South Dakota State Governor Dennis Daugaard to coincide with the first-ever National Jerky Day and to celebrate the impact Jack Link's business has on all three states.
Jack Link's worldwide headquarters is in Minong, Wis. It operates production facilities in Minong and New Glarus, Wis. and employs approximately 900 people statewide. The company also operates warehouse and distribution facilities in Laurens and Underwood, Iowa, and employs nearly 300 people statewide. Jack Link’s also has production facilities in Alpena, SD, and employs nearly 900 people statewide.
Founded 25 years ago in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, Jack Link’s is now the No. 1 US meat snack brand and fastest-growing meat snack manufacturer in the world. To commemorate National Jerky Day and Jack Link's Jerky Day, Jack Link's partnered with renowned mosaic artist Jason Mecier to create a unique tribute to jerky. On June 12, Mecier's unique artwork will go live on the brand's Facebook page, Facebook.com/JackLinksBeefJerky, on the brand's website at JackLinks.com and it will be on display at the Rotunda at Mall of America, in Bloomington, Minn.
