WASHINGTON – Kenosha, Wis.-based Kenosha Beef International, Ltd. recalled approximately 37,600 lbs. of frozen bacon cheeseburger patties on concerns the patties may contain pieces of gasket material, according to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The patties are in 2-lb. cartons containing six patties under the brand Sam’s Choice Fireside Gourmet Black Angus Beef Patties Bacon and Aged Cheddar. The product was made on June 11, and were distributed in Indiana, Maine, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Wisconsin, FSIS said.
FSIS was alerted to the problem after a consumer complained to Kenosha Beef. No injuries or illnesses have been reported.
