OTTAWA, Ontario – Continental Strictly Kosher Meat, Poultry & Delicatessen Products (Establishment 29), Ville Mont-Royal, QC, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) are warning the public not to consume certain ground beef and ground veal products because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7.
A voluntary recall of suspect product is underway and no confirmed illnesses have been associated with consuming these products. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
Suspect Glatt's brand products include lean ground veal, lean ground beef, medium ground beef and medium ground beef Club Pack.
These products were sold at various locations in Quebec including several IGA stores, Kosher Quality Bakery and Alimentation Marcel Picard.
