HOUSTON – Randy White, president and CEO of Sysco Canada's Western region and Sysco Calgary, has been named president of Sysco Canada, the company announced Sept. 26. Also, Rod Stroud, president and CEO of Sysco Canada's Eastern region and Sysco Central Ontario, was named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Sysco Canada.
"Randy and Rod are homegrown, highly respected leaders among our customers, suppliers and Sysco associates in Canada," said Joel Grade, senior vice president-Foodservice Operations (North). "They understand the challenges of the marketplace and will offer a smooth transition to the leadership and continuity to Sysco Canada, as we work to transform our business to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers."
White will oversee the company's operations across Canada, including broadline companies and specialty companies. Since 2001, he has held the positions of vice president of SERCA's Western Division; senior vice president, executive vice president, president and CEO of Sysco Calgary; and president and CEO of Sysco Canada West.
Stroud will oversee Sysco's division presidents and specialty companies' operational activities across Canada. Stroud brings 30 years of experience to the foodservice industry. Since 2002, he has held many leadership positions at Sysco's Corporate Multi-Unit Accounts group, SYGMA Canada, Sysco Toronto, Sysco Central Ontario and, most recently, the Eastern region of Sysco Canada.
