The company said adopting the Murphy-Brown label will better communicate the nature of Premium Standard's business and its role in the larger Smithfield Foods organization. Additionally, the change will present a more unified message for how the company is supporting Smithfield Foods' brands, creating value for investors, employees and other stakeholders, according to the company.
