A food safety assessment uncovered the problem, according to FSIS. The problem likely occurred because the wrong computer was connected to the label printer during the company's recent relocation, the agency said. There have been no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the products.
The products affected by the recall include:
• 10-oz. packages, in 7.5 pound cases, of “ENZO’S Italian Combo Calzone” bearing the establishment number “EST. 9014” inside the USDA mark of inspection on the label. Identifying case codes are: 7163, 7173, 7183, 7223, 7253, 8143, 8303 and 9043.
• 10-oz. packages, in 7.5 pound cases, of “ENZO’S Chicken Fajita Calzone” bearing the establishment number “P-9014” inside the USDA mark of inspection on the label. Identifying case codes are: 7163, 7173, 7183, 7223, 8133 and 9043.
The products were produced between July 16 and Sept. 4, 2013 and shipped to distributors, retail locations and possibly restaurants in the San Francisco Bay area.
