WASHINGTON – LJD Holdings Inc., which does business as Boise, Idaho-based B and D Foods, is recalling approximately 33,500 lbs. of fully cooked meat and poultry products on fears of possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination, the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced.
The company discovered the problem through microbiological testing. The products are being recalled due to concerns of cross-contamination. No reports of illnesses due to consumption of these products have been received.
Products subject to recall include:
- 10-lb. boxes, containing two, 5-lb bags of The Tempura King Royal Tempura Chicken, fully cooked Tempura chicken breast, with an identifying code of A-4615. Product was distributed to foodservice and/or institutional customers in California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
- 10-lb. boxes, containing two, 5-lb bags of “Bings! Chicken Breast with Parmesan Flavoring containing the identifying code of A-4844. Product was distributed to foodservice and/or institutional customers in Idaho and Montana.
- 10-lb. boxes, containing two, 5-lb bags of Steakhouse Tempura Seasoned Beef & and Binder Strips containing an identifying code of A-1070-10. Product was distributed to foodservice and/or institutional customers in Idaho and Montana.
- 30-lb. boxes of Kettle Cooked Chicken Breast Pieces, bearing an identifying code of A-3900. Product was distributed to an industrial customer in Ohio.
- 30-lb. boxes of fully cooked pork strips bearing an identifying code of A-3025-30.Product was distributed to an industrial customer in Arizona and California.
Products being recalled bear the establishment number EST. 6266 or Est. P-6266 inside the USDA mark of inspection, plus an identifying case code of 110622. These suspect products were produced Dec. 6, 2012, and distributed to foodservice and institutional customers, as well as an industrial customer.
