UNIONTOWN, Ky. – The Little Kentucky Smokehouse announced plans to build a second 40,000-sq.-ft. facility at its existing plant in Uniontown, according to anArea Development Online report.

The expansion will cost a reported $2.2 million. The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority approved tax benefits of up to $25,000 to encourage additional investment in Union County, according to Area Development Online.


Little Kentucky Smokehouse is part of Jim David Meats, a family owned and operated retail and wholesale fresh meat company. The company sells fresh and frozen pork, beef, chicken, turkey, fish and homemade salads. The company currently employs 70 workers, and plans to add 18 more employees.
