FSIS said the announcement is being made in conjunction with other foods regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. The same amount of product was recalled on Oct. 22. Brands of salads include Walmart Deli, Stonemill Kitchens, Kroger, Mrs. Weaver's, Dillons, Chef Solutions, Block and Barrel, Cross Valley, Sav-A-Lot and Yoder's. The beef, ham and chicken salads were shipped to distributors and retailers nationwide.
Microbiological testing by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and a traceback investigation and follow-up testing by the FDA found potential cross-contamination of the meat salads withListeria monocytogenesfrom product contact surfaces. There have been no reports of illnesses made in connection to the recalled products.
