Wright has extensive industry knowledge and experience that includes serving as vice president/general manager at House of Raeford, COO of Pilgrim's Pride, president at Butterball Turkey and vice president of operations for Cargill, according to the company.
"With the addition of Mr. Wright to the Zacky team the Company plans to build on their reputation for quality products and customer service,” the company said in a statement.
Fresno, Calif.-based Zacky Farms is a vertically integrated poultry company that has been operating for more than 70 years. The company filed a petition for voluntary relief under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code on Oct. 8, 2012. An auction for all the company's assets in January saw the Robert D. Zacky and Lillian D. Zacky Family Trust as the successful bidder.
