A customer discovered the problem, according to the agency. There have been no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the Bolognese Sauce with Beef & Pork. The sauce was produced on Sept. 25, 27 and Nov. 7. Products affected by the recall include:
• 7.5-lb. cases containing twelve 10-ounce bags of “Bolognese Sauce with Beef & Pork” with case number 31113 printed on the interior bag.
• 7.5-lb. cases containing twelve 10-ounce bags of “Bolognese Sauce with Beef & Pork” with case number 27013 printed on the interior bag.
• 12-lb. cases containing four 3-pound bags of “Bolognese Sauce with Beef & Pork” with case number 31113 printed on the interior bag.
• 12-lb. cases containing four 3-pound bags of “Bolognese Sauce with Beef & Pork” with case number 26813 printed on the interior bag.
The affected products are missing the USDA mark of inspection with the establishment number inside. The sauce was sold for institutional use in San Francisco and Hayward, Calif.
