The former Pro Bowler will appear on "Shark Tank" Dec. 6. The show features small business owners seeking financial backing from high-profile successful business people. Contestants pitch their business concepts to the panel of investors in hopes of winning financial backing for the business ventures.

Baker, who spent 13 years in the NFL, owns Bubba’s-Q World Famous Bar-B-Que and Catering, a restaurant and catering business in Avon, Ohio that features traditional Southern-style barbecue cuisine. On the show, he will be pitching Al Baker's Boneless Baby Back Ribs. Baker invented a machine that removes the bones from rib racks. The boneless baby back ribs are then sealed and frozen. The product can be shipped and later prepared within minutes in the microwave. Baker has produced his heat-and-eat ribs with help from Tom Heinen, co-owner of Heinen's supermarket.
