WYALUSING, Pa. – A bomb threat at a Cargill Meat Solutions plant in Wyalusing, Pa. Feb. 26 turned out to be a hoax. Pennsylvania State Police received an anonymous call at about 3 p.m. indicating that there was a bomb planted at the beef processing facility.
“The state police notified Cargill at Wyalusing and the plant’s emergency response team began sweeping the plant, cooperating with law enforcement authorities and Cargill’s global security team,” said Mike Martin, Cargill spokesman.
No bombs were found after a sweep of the facility by Cargill security and state police officers. Law enforcement is treating the incident as an active criminal investigation.
