SÃO PAULO, Brazil – JBS SA signed a five-year agreement to lease Tramonto's Alimentos SA poultry processing facilities located in Morro Grande, in the state of Santa Catarina, the company announced recently.

The plants are comprised of a factory with a 120,000 birds per day capacity and a feed factory. The facility is fully operational and approved to export to major markets. JBS plans to incorporate the plant's production into its chicken unit located in the region under the banner of JBS AVES.

JBS said the agreement is in line with the company's goal to serve export markets. The company has the option of extending the lease agreement an additional five years.
