RANDERS, Denmark – Henrik Biilman was appointed CEO of Danish Crown subsidiary Friland, a major processor of organic meat products, the company announced March 15.
Biilman brings 17 years of experience in sales, marketing and concept development in the food industry, according to the company. He also has expertise in organic food products. Biilman succeeds Karsten Dejbjerg Kristensen, who co-founded Friland in 1992 and has been CEO since then.
"We in the appointment committee have had to choose between many well qualified applicants so it has not been an easy task," said Bjarne Møller, Friland's chairman of the board. "With Henrik Biilmann I feel, however, that we have found the top manager who can continue Friland’s values and also contribute to the future growth and innovation."
Biilman spends his spare time yacht racing, and he co-authored the sailor handbook Winner manual — Strategies and tactics.
