HAMILTON, Ga. – Koch Foods will spend $49 million to expand a poultry-processing facility in Hamilton, Ga., according to news reports.
The plant is a former Cagle's Inc. facility. Koch's subsidiary, JCG Foods LLC, bought the plant in 2012 as part of a bankruptcy auction. Koch kept 350 employees and later added an additional 350 employees after boosting production at the facility. The latest expansion will bring the workforce total to more than 1,400, according to news reports.
