OTTAWA, Ontario – Desco Services Alimentaires Inc., Boisbriand, Quebec, voluntarily recalled its cooked chicken breast strips product because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency reported.
The company and CFIA are warning the public not to eat the Le Champ du Coq Seasoned, Cooked Breast Strips. The product was undercooked and could be contaminated with Salmonella. No illnesses have been reported.
The affected products were prepared by Le Champ du Coq Inc. and bear the stamp, "CANADA 209". This product is sold in 4-kg boxes bearing UPC 83569400974043 and Best Before: 2013-NO-05. The chicken strips were distributed in Quebec.
