MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Department of Agriculture recalled several lots of beef and pork pepper sticks and other pork products produced by Belgrade Meat Center after routine product sampling revealed contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
There have been no reports of illnesses associated with consumption of the products, according to the department. The contamination was first detected in a product sample collected during a routine inspection, said Heidi Kassenborg, MDA Dairy and Food Inspection Division director. MDA investigators are trying to find the source of the contamination.

Belgrade Meat Center, Belgrade, Minn., sold approximately 20 lbs. of the pork and beef pepper sticks at its retail store in Belgrade.
