ST. JOSEPH, Mo.– Triumph Foods announced plans for a $7.5 million expansion at the company's St. Joseph, Mo., pork plant, according to local news reports. The project will add 11,000 sq. ft. to the facility in addition to new equipment. The expansion will add about 105 new jobs.
This is the second major expansion for the pork processor and exporter. In October 2012, the company announced plans to build a 30,000 sq. ft. addition at a cost of $9.5 million. The company employs 2,800 people and processes more than 5 million hogs annually.
