Spring has sprung—with new sandwiches.
Taco Bell is bringing back its nacho fries for “the longest run ever” through a partnership with sauce company Secret Aardvark. The nacho fries feature an all-new Serrabanero ranch sauce, which is made from green tomatoes, roasted tomatillos, serrano and green habanero peppers, blended with savory ranch. In addition to the Serrabanero sauce, the fries are topped with Mexican spices, slow-roasted chicken, a three-cheese blend, reduced-fat sour cream, nacho cheese sauce and pico de gallo.
“We’re thrilled to bring back fan-favorite nacho fries for their 11th return, in a whole new way, with an extra flavorful partnership with Secret Aardvark,” said Liz Matthews, global food innovations officer at Taco Bell. “Secret Aardvark’s dedication to bold flavors and culinary innovation makes them the perfect partner for Taco Bell and our iconic nacho fries.”
Chick-fil-A is testing a new sandwich at participating restaurants in Raleigh, NC. For a limited-time, consumers can order the pretzel cheddar club sandwich, which features a boneless chicken breast with applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, and soft seasoned cheddar cheese, served on a toasted cross-cut pretzel bun and a creamy Dijon sauce on the side.
The chain also introduced a line of cherry berry seasonal beverages, which come in a variety of mixed berry flavors, including cherry berry sunjoy, cherry berry lemonade, cherry berry iced tea and cherry berry lemonade.
“Our guests have always enjoyed both cherry and berry flavors, especially during the Spring season,” said Christy Cook, chef at Chick-fil-A. “We wanted to explore how to deliver that burst of fruit flavor they love, in a way that is unique to Chick-fil-A and that pairs so well with our menu items. Be on the lookout for other exciting beverage flavors to come and maybe a few familiar favorites from the past.”
