LOUISVILLE, KY – Local officials in Louisville, Ky. fined a JBS pork processing plant $98,750 for odor and other violations, according tolocal news reports. The plant is known locally as Swift.


Records from the Air Pollution Control Board show that the Butchertown, Ky. plant was assessed fines in the past. The plant was fined $37,250 in 2011 and $47,800 in 2008 for odor violations.

A spokesman for Greeley, Colo.-based JBS USA said the company is reviewing the matter.
