MCCLEAN, Va. – The supplier company participants in the Process Expo 2019 live automated beef patty production demonstration line have been announced by the Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA). The following companies’ equipment and expertise will be part of an automated production line demonstration on the show floor three times each day during Process Expo, Oct. 8-11 at McCormick Place in Chicago: Handtmann, Pacproinc, GEA, Eagle Product Inspection, Intray and Primedge.
“The typical consumer has no idea of the technical sophistication that goes into making a consistently high-quality product on a large scale,” said Jarrod McCarroll, FPSA chairman. “These demonstrations will give our attendees a glimpse into how this is done and likewise how this equipment can be applied for other products.”
Using equipment from the six companies, attendees will have the opportunity to watch and listen to a description of each step of the automated beef patty production process, from the introduction of raw beef into the grinder to forming, interleaving and stacking of the patties, denesting and flex loading into retail-ready packages. Technical experts from each of the participating companies will be available during the demonstrations to discuss the technology and answer attendees’ questions, according to McCarroll.
“The Process Expo production lines were tremendously popular with attendees when introduced at our last show in 2017 with more than half of our audience attending at least one demonstration,” said David Seckman, FPSA president and CEO. “As a result, we have decided to expand the production line program for 2019 with new lines and adding demonstrations to the Day 4 schedule of the show for attendees who can’t make it earlier in the week.”
